Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

At Computers Kenya, we strive to offer you quality computers, laptops and accessories. Our returns and refund policy lasts 30 days from the purchase date. If more than 30 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer a full refund or exchange.

Eligibility for Return

To qualify for a return, your item must meet the following conditions:

  • Be unused or in like‑new condition

  • Be in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, cables and warranty cards

  • Be accompanied by a valid receipt or proof of purchase

Please note: Items showing obvious signs of use, physical damage, liquid spills or electrical tampering are not eligible for a return or refund.

Non‑Returnable Items

Certain products cannot be returned due to their nature. These include:

  • Software licences or downloadable products once delivered

  • Custom built‑to‑order computers or upgrades

  • Consumables (e.g., printer ink, toner) once opened

  • Peripherals (such as mice, keyboards, USB drives, cables) that have been used or installed

  • Gift cards or digital vouchers

  • Items excluded by manufacturer warranty terms

Warranty & Defective Products

All computers, laptops and electronics come with a manufacturer or store warranty (typically 6–12 months depending on brand). If your item develops a fault within the warranty period:

  • Contact us at info@computerskenya.co.ke or visit our service centre

  • We will inspect the device to verify whether the fault is covered

  • If approved, we will repair or replace the item at no additional cost

  • If repair or replacement is not possible, we may offer a store credit or refund

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental damage, drops, liquid spills

  • Faults caused by unapproved accessories or unstable power supply

  • Software issues (viruses, user‑installed programs)

  • Normal wear and tear (battery degradation, keyboard wear)

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email or SMS of the approval or rejection.
If approved, your refund will be processed within 60 working days to your original method of payment (e.g., M‑Pesa, card, bank transfer).
If your return is not approved, we will contact you and arrange for the item to be returned.

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may apply in cases such as:

  • Items missing accessories, manuals, or original packaging

  • Devices that have been powered on or used but found non‑defective

  • Returns made after the 30‑day window (subject to management discretion)

Exchanges

We replace items only if they are defective or damaged during delivery, or covered under warranty.
To request an exchange, email info@computerskenya.co.ke or visit our shop with your proof of purchase.

Shipping & Returns

To return your product, please deliver or mail it to our service centre in Nairobi.

  • You are responsible for shipping or delivery costs for returns, unless the return is due to our error or a verified product defect

  • Shipping costs are non‑refundable
    If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. For high‑value items, we recommend using a trackable courier service or purchasing shipping insurance.

Delivery Fee

We charge a flat delivery fee of KSh 600 for orders within Nairobi and surrounding areas. Delivery fees for other regions will be displayed during checkout.
